The Early Childhood (EC) Program serves children ages 3 to 5 who demonstrate delays in one or more areas of development, including physical, cognitive, communication, social-emotional, and adaptive skills. The program provides a structured, supportive learning environment designed to nurture growth across all developmental domains.
Instruction is aligned with the Illinois Early Learning and Development Standards and incorporates evidence-based interventions tailored to each child’s needs. Children engage in a variety of developmentally appropriate activities that promote learning through play, exploration, and guided instruction. Focus areas include cognitive development, speech and language, fine and gross motor skills, social-emotional learning, and self-help skills.
Program Goals:
- Foster health and physical development
- Support cognitive and intellectual growth
- Promote social awareness and positive peer interactions
- Encourage a strong sense of self and self-confidence
- Inspire curiosity, exploration, and creativity
- Strengthen parent involvement in each child’s learning and progress
The Early Childhood Program is committed to building a strong foundation for lifelong learning by meeting children where they are and helping them grow to their fullest potential.
